The Bitcoin 2024 Conference in Nashville, Tennessee (USA) started and it seems clear that Trump will speak tomorrow.

But what happened yesterday and how will the important conference in Tennessee continue? Here, Crypto Lists will go through the program up to date, what’s happening on Friday the 26th and will Donald Trump actually arrive on Saturday to keep an active discussion about the future of Bitcoin in central banking? Join Crypto Lists and our friends in Nashville to discover what’s happening.

The program so far

Yesterday, the future of retail banking was discussed, where Lightning network was one of the solutions when using Bitcoin. Another seminar discuss higher powers with the discussion around “God Bless Bitcoin”.

Smart contracts on Bitcoin was another topics, something that many crypto enthusiasts rarely use.
There was also pitches from layer 2 and scaling solutions for Bitcoin, and discussions about Bitcoin’s role in the traditional banking world.

On the epic Nakamoto stage, they talked about how to make Bitcoin in America great again. The name suggests it was a warm up for the upcoming speaker, the former american president Donald Trump. One party is seeing crypto as something dangerous and don’t know how to it works or how to handle it, while the other seems to adopt Bitcoin and even consider to add it to FEDs reserves. “Not understanding the basics of Bitcoin will never make America great again – that’s my conclusion”, says Markus Jalmerot, co-founder of Crypto Lists.

An increasing amount of businesses start or at least consider to use Bitcoin on the balance sheet, which is why they had a 45 minute seminar about it. Andrew Kang from MicroStrategy is probably a guy you like to speak wot about that particular topic, but Eric Semler from Semler Scientific and Simon Gerovich from Metaplanet Inc also had some interesting comments about this topic.

What’s being discussed on the Bitcoin conference in Nashville on Friday?

Friday starts with some opening remarks about the daily sessions and events in Nashville, followed by an ETF flows discussion. Is Bitcoin ETF’s a passing fad, or will this type of instrument continue to affect the price of BTC going forward? Both Blackrock, VanEck, Bitwise and Bloomberg take part in the discussion.

While Solana partnered with VISA and Paypal to make stablecoin usage cheaper and quicker, Bitcoin still seems to be a bit behind when it comes to partners and development. But Taproot Assets will be discussing stablecoins at Lightning speed today, which seems promising for Bitcoin maximalists. For everyone that’s clueless how to handle Bitcoin accounting, the topic “Demystifying accounting in the world of Bitcoin” seems to be a must see. When it comes to investing and timing, the session called “End of the 4-year cycle” could be really interesting today, with representatives from Galaxy Digital, Transform Ventures and Check on Chain among others. The King of Bitcoin, Michael Saylor, will also have a keynote speach at 2 PM (EST) today on the Nakomoto Stage. If you wait another 30 minutes, Catie Wood from Ark Invest will discuss Bitcoin & Maco investment trends. The day continue with a speach from Edward Snowden along with a session about the future of Bitcoin banking and regulation.

Kamala Harris is not coming

On Tuesday this week there were still rumours that Bitcoin Nashville would have a visit from the new candidate for the Democratic party. However, later during the week she decided to not attend. The reasons are probably clear. She has not much to fetch there and would most likely just loose votes from such an appearance. After all, Harris is not pro-crypto like Trump and sees it mainly as a payment system for criminals. However, in reality there has been many studies (such as this one) concluding that money laundering is way bigger for fiat currency compared to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. After all, Bitcoin transactions take place on the blockchain and they can be traced. Like Janek Ratnatunga conclude in the Journal of Applied Management Accounting Research: “Contrary to popular opinion, it’s quite easy to link Bitcoin transactions together in order to identify a user”. To Kamala Harris we simply would like to say: Don’t talk if you don’t know a subject.

Trump to Suggest Bitcoin FED Strategy

Saturday afternoon is the interesting day when Donald Trump is having his keynote speach on Bitcoin 2024.

Why should the FED only hold gold and cash, you might ask? About 15% of the population in the U.S holds Bitcoin and Kamala Harris still recently said that “Bitcoin is only for criminals”. Well, Donald Trump seems to be taking the opportunity to steer the FED in the right direction. A direction that fits with 2024, not 1924. Well, if you are into the latest things happening, check out the newest Bitcoin casinos from 2024 here. There are over 100 at the moment, but there is also an extensive list with 500 Bitcoin casinos (all of them) where Crypto Lists done extensive reviews.

Trump is most likely to suggest that the FED start to adopt a crypto strategy and since he’s now talking on a Bitcoin conference, no other cryptocurrencies will obviously be mentioned. He will most likely “only” discuss why it’s totally crazy that the FED only holds gold, British sterling (pounds), some euro and a few other currencies.

Why not diversify and add Bitcoin to the mix? It’s the biggest and most stable cryptocurrency around, that most days of the month seems to be less volatile than many emerging market currencies. We’re yet to hear him discuss about the FED strategies he would like to see as the new president of the U.S, but Crypto Lists really look forward to it. Our guess is clear. Trump will announce that FED should hold Bitcoin in the Nashville event Bitcoin 2024. What do you think?
